Tea Kit

Tea Kit is a simple oriental medicinal herbal tea set of Ssanghwacha to warm up the soul when suffering from a cold - created for the younger generation to change the stereotype that oriental medicine is only for older people. Hanbok and Dancheong patterns inspire the overall Tea Kit's package design to capture the heritage and culture of Korea in a modernized and sophisticated way.

Overall packaging is environmentally friendly and sustainable by using Hanji, the traditional paper wrapper, wooden box, brown twine string, and Bojagi - a reusable wrapping cloth. Moreover, the illustrations are hand-drawn, based on the medicinal herbs used to make Ssanghwacha and bought in the Seoul Medicine Market. These include dried roots of white woodland peony, steamed and dried roots of Rehmannia, dried roots of milkvetch, dried roots of Korean angelica, dried roots of lovage, Korean cinnamon barks, Korean licorice, dried ginger and dried jujube.
